Students must apply each year to be a part of YouLearn’s Inclusion Program. Admission depends on students’ unique needs as outlined in their IEP (Individual Education Plan), YouLearn’s ability to meet those needs, and the appropriateness of online learning to support student growth and development. Enrollment is not guaranteed. IEP students wanting to transfer from brick-and-mortar to YouLearn must meet with their home school administrator and submit a transfer application.

Each Inclusion student is assigned an Inclusion Support Teacher (IST), and with their legal parent/guardian, is required to collaboratively create an Individual Education Plan (IEP). IEP’s outline specific academic, socioemotional, behavioural, and Core Competency goals along with plans of how these goals will be achieved. Unlike traditional school, parents/guardians at YouLearn are required to actively participate in and contribute to their child’s IEP.
