Student Reporting

Schools across the province are implementing the Ministry of Education and Child Care's new K-12 Student Reporting Policy. To help parents and caregivers better understand the new reporting framework the Ministry has created a K-12 Student Reporting Information page, as well as a one page document for parents and caregivers.

Specifically, YouLearn will be reporting as follows:

 K-7 Elementary

• • • on or before October 25- Informal Report (Academic Review)
    • on or before December 16- Written Update (SPACES); Student Core Competency and Goal Reflections Required
    • on or before February 07 - Informal Report (Academic Review)
    • on or before March 14 - Written Update (SPACES); Student Core Competency and Goal Reflections Required
    • June 27 - Summative Report Card (SPACES + MyEd); Student Core Competency and Goal Reflections Required

• • • on or before October 25- Informal Report (Academic Review)
    • on or before December 16 - Written Update (online course Marksheets); Student Core Competency and Goal Reflections Required
    • January 31- Summary of Learning (online course Marksheets + MyEd); Student Core Competency and Goal Reflections Required

• • • on or before March 14 - Informal Report (Academic Review)
    • on or before May 02 - Written Update (online course Marksheets); Student Core Competency and Goal Reflections Required
    • June 27 - Summary of Learning (online course Marksheets + MyEd); Student Core Competency and Goal Reflections Required

Reporting changes are intended to result in assessments and reports that are timely, ongoing, and more promotive of communicating and supporting student learning. Please review your child's SPACES.edu posts or marksheets regularly, as well as the MyEdBC ParentPortal (for final reports) and contact us if you cannot access these or if have any questions.
